GROW THE GOOD BAND

was founded in 2025 but its work began in 1999 when Pete Kalvert set up a microphone in a cabin in Port Jervis, NY to record the original lyrics and music written by more than 100 young people from the Bronx and Bridgeport, CT.

Today, this Hudson Valley based band gathers folks together to dance and to sing.... and to refuel ourselves as we work to grow the good in all of us and in our communities. 

Our music is live. It feels like home. It's here to help carry us forward...
